Christina Purkey is the fourth grade teacher at St. James. She was raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, and moved to Chattanooga where she attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She received her B.S. in Early Childhood Education with endorsements in Special Education and Middle Grades. Ms. Purkey was named the Etowah Private School Teacher of the Year in 2022.  She currently heads the Track elective at St. James.
